ReelWisdom is the effort of Monica Andrews, Ed.D., to help families become better informed and less overwhelmed in the college admissions process. Dr. Andrews is an alumna of Harvard Graduate School of Education, and has enjoyed twenty years of helping students succeed in college. Since 1990, Dr. Andrews has worked full-time as a college specialist in the areas of critical thinking and writing, and success in college for students with LDs. She began as a writing and LD specialist at Pine Manor College while completing her doctorate in Developmental Psychology at Harvard, specializing in adolescent and adult development. After completing her degree, she taught writing full-time at the University of California at Santa Barbara, working with a state-wide committee to develop assessment tools for entering first-year students. She has also been a scorer for the SAT essay exam.
